Made it through my birthday, mostly unscathed. Of course, in an effort to help me enjoy the entire 24 hours, my cat decided that it was inappropriate for me to get any sleep starting when the clock struck midnight. So I spent the first half of the day groggy and sleep deprived. Thanks to those of you who called for putting up with my advanced state of exhaustion.

Of course, it got better from there. Hubby got home from work, bringing me a beautiful selection of chocolates. He’s a good man. We went to Midori’s class at the Citadel, and then out to dinner at Thai Basil in SoMa. Yum! I have to say, they make my favorite soup ever - Tom Ka Gai. To close out the evening, we went to BaGG for about an hour, and managed to be home and in bed just after midnight.

Once again, life has been a blur. I had a fantastic time at both Leather Retreat and TESfest, and was asked by a friend of mine to co-author a book with her. I will post more about the book as time goes on, but I am really excited about the prospect.

I got back to the left coast late Monday night, and have been completely swept up in catching up with things that did not get done the past few weeks. I have meetings, conference calls, classes to teach, and all kinds of other things to do. As usual, the list just keeps getting longer, but I am so glad to have things to do. Maybe I’m a masochist, or maybe I just like to keep busy. If someone can figure that out for me, feel free to let me know.

Yesterday, I got to spend some time assisting with a photo shoot in Golden Gate Park. I gotta say, it’s so much fun helping hot women into and out of their latex.

I guess that’s the short version of recent activity. I’m doing a discussion tomorrow night for the Women’s Lab at Edges about Playing without Toys, which will be followed by actually playing without toys. So, if you are a woman in the Bay Area and have some time tomorrow night, come out and join us!
